Carnevale Giveaway – #crochetmaskcollage

New month, new giveaway!

Female portrait with a black mask covering the face.

Self portrait with mask.

Some months ago I had this idea to realize a digital crochet mask to print and wear, using the same style of my signature crochet mask collages. The result is a freaky self portrait that I really enjoyed and so, I would like to make you play with the mask too 🙂

To celebrate the Italian “Carnevale” (Carnival) that will run for the month of February, I wanted to make a masked theme giveaway. The prize is one of my crochet collages that you can find on the gallery below. The winner can choose one of the 6 collages from the Series.

Rules are the follow:

  1. Download the crochet mask template (Black or White version)
  2. Print the template (you can also use it as a digital file if you prefer)
  3. Wear or make it wear the mask (get creative, play the game as you want, no need to make a selfie!)
  4. Share the image result on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the #crochetmaskcollage hashtag.

Giveaway will end on Monday 29th of February 2016. Winner will be draw the day after using

Have fun and good luck!

Society6 Art Print – Review And Giveaway

Last month I wanted to order a large sized art print from my Society6 shop. I previously just ordered a tote bag and I was pretty happy about the final result, but I was really curious to see how they manage “classic” art prints on paper.

I was a little bit disappointed with the service. The order was done on the 13th of December, the tracking system was stuck on the 16th of December for about 20 days.  Once I contacted the customer service (on the 4th of January), the order appeared as arrived from the US to the UK, and was delivered a couple of days later. By the way, I can understand that there were the Christmas holidays in between, so this can happen easily during this time of the year.

The print colors are really bright and I love the thickness of the paper and its matt finish. There is a little crease into an angle of the print but luckily it’s in the white border, so the print itself was not compromised.

The packaging was good, the print arrived rolled into a thick cardboard tube fixed with plastic caps on both sides. The ruined angle is due to the fact the during the transportation the tube was slightly deformed. So let’s say that at the end I was very happy for the print but not so happy for the wait time.

And now, it’s time to give it away!

The art print is called “Il Martirio di Caterina da Siena” (Caterina from Siena’s Martyrdom) and is about one of my collages done on vintage vinyl covers. The size of the print is 22 x 22 inches (about 55 x 55 cm), so it’s pretty big.

To participate it’s super simple: leave a comment below this post and you will get the chance to win the print! The deadline is Sunday 31 of January 2016, I will draw the winner the day after using

Good luck!

#creativeunblock – The Giveaway

Giveaway time!

Update – giveaway postponed! It will end on Thursday 17th of December 2015 (I will draw the winners the day after).

I never had the chance to properly express my gratitude to all the  people from around the world that in these last 2 years gave me the strength to not give up. So I think it’s the moment to give you back some love.

I was truly inspired by the last Creative Unblock challenge by The Jealous Curator, where you have to create an art piece and then leave it somewhere in a public space as a surprise for a stranger. Due to security reasons, I don’t feel comfortable to leave somewhere a box or a small letter, but I wanted in some way to participate to this wonderful challenge.

So, here it is my very first giveaway! I will draw 5 winners that will receive my past Creative Unblock projects. How to participate? Just write ONE comment below this post.

If you want to keep yourself update on what I do, you can follow me here (you don’t have to like my pages to participate to the giveaway, the comment under this post will be enough!):

Things to know:

  • The prizes are my January, February, March (part 1 –  and part 2), April and August contributions to the challenge.
  • The giveaway will end on Thursday 17th of December 2015 (I will draw the winners the day after).
  • The winners will be contacted through an email (please insert an active and valid email once you post your comment).
  • If one of the winners will not reply after a couple of days, I will draw a new one.

So that’s all and good luck!
